About M&A adviser Evgeni Kanev

In his extensive 20 year corporate finance advisory career, Evgeni Kanev has managed projects across most of the economic sectors of South Eastern Europe. His knowledge of the consumer products, energy and IT industries are excellent. Experience areas:

Evgeni used to head the Corporate Finance Department of KPMG Bulgaria, where he managed over 200 mandates for M&As, business valuations and financing projects across the major industries of South Eastern Europe for nearly 12 years. Later, he was the Managing Director European Operations of Tello Corporations (USA), a venture capital company in the area of instant communications. At present, he is the managing partner of a corporate finance advisery firm Maconis LLC, which is a partner/affiliate of CFIE. Based on his extensive experience and expertise, he has been elected as the macroeconomist of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) for Bulgaria.

Evgeni Kanev holds Master’s degrees of Business Administration from Illinois State University (USA). He also obtained the Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and Ph.D. in Economics with a doctoral thesis “Public-Private Partnership: Principles, Models, and Policies for Procurement of Public Services”.  Ask Evgeni for his resume if you want to know more
