The production line is eight (8) years old, still very modern line specially designed and constructed by an Italian firm (BOATO), in order to produce bituminous membranes of all types (APP, SBS, self adhesive). The type of the line is ”FIRE”.

• Membrane’s reinforcement: glass fiber, polyester fabric, double reinforcement
• Upper surface of membranes: mineral slates, aluminum foil, sand, talcum powder,  polyethylene film, polyester film, geotextile
• Lower surface membrane: sand, polyethylene film.

Bituminous waterproofing membrane’s industry in Greece was on a continuous rise till two years ago. The annual rate of increase stopped for the last two years due to the financial crisis which created several problems in the markets, especially in the construction field. The total consumption of bituminous membranes in Greece was about 12.000.000 m² including the 4.000.000 m² undertile membranes. This consumption is lower the last two years because of the crisis, but it will increase when Greece goes out of the crisis and the Greek Standard ELOT 1415 becomes part of the new National Building Code or if it is become a required implementation, as it has been decided by the Government.
